Keith Spitalnick is the Founder and Director of Target Property Spain, an independent estate agency specialising in Mijas Costa and the wider Costa del Sol.
His approach is deliberately down to earth: there’s no expectation that every conversation has to end in a sale. Keith is happy to give an honest opinion on the market, a property or an area, even if that means telling a client it isn’t right for them.
Keith’s experience in the Spanish property market goes back to 2007, when he worked in currency exchange, helping buyers and sellers transfer funds between the UK and Spain. Working closely with clients, estate agents, lawyers and other professionals gave him an early insight into the industry and the challenges facing international buyers and sellers.
He moved into real estate directly in 2014 and has since gained extensive experience helping international clients buy and sell property on the Costa del Sol. He founded Target Property Spain on a simple premise: honest advice, local knowledge, and no unnecessary pressure.
His particular area of expertise is Mijas Costa, including La Cala de Mijas, Calahonda, Riviera del Sol, Miraflores, El Chaparral and the surrounding communities. Having lived and worked locally for many years, he understands how different these areas really are, from property types to the kind of buyer each one suits, knowledge that matters far more than it might seem when deciding where to buy.
For buyers, Keith sees his job as understanding what someone is actually looking for and helping them find it, rather than simply showing them whatever’s on the market. For sellers, that means honest advice on pricing, presentation and marketing, aimed at finding the right buyer rather than just taking the listing.
A significant part of Keith’s work involves clients buying and selling from overseas, particularly from the UK and other European countries. He also produces property guides, market updates, videos and articles on Mijas Costa and the Costa del Sol, sharing practical advice for anyone considering a move.
Outside of property, Keith lives in Mijas Costa with his family and is involved in the local community. He’s a keen Tottenham supporter with a long-standing interest in theatre and live entertainment.
