Welcome back to another edition of Two-Minute Tuesday with Keith and Sophia from Target Property Spain!
If you’re thinking about buying property in Mijas Costa, relocating, or simply planning your next holiday, one of the biggest draws to the area is its incredible coastline. So today, we’re answering a question we often get asked:
“Which are the best beaches in Mijas Costa?”
Here are our top 3 favourites:
1. El Bombo Beach – Torrenueva
Located just west of La Cala de Mijas, El Bombo is a wide, sandy beach that offers plenty of space even during the summer months. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a more relaxed beach day without the crowds of the central La Cala beach. A few good chiringuitos (beach bars) nearby make it easy to spend the whole day here.
2. Wazza Beach – El Faro/El Chaparral
A bit of a local secret, Wazza Beach is tucked away near El Faro and Chaparral. You won’t spot it easily from the main road, which means it tends to stay quiet even in peak season. It’s home to a lovely beach bar serving fantastic mojitos – making it a hidden gem worth discovering!
3. Luna Beach – Calahonda
Luna Beach is another great option, especially if you’re looking for food, drinks, and some beachside entertainment. It’s also just a short walk from here to Cabopino Beach, which, although technically in East Marbella, is often considered one of the nicest beaches in the area. Luna is a great starting point for a beach walk with stunning views.
Why It Matters If You’re Buying in Mijas Costa
Whether you’re looking to enjoy the beach year-round or rent your property out to holidaymakers, proximity to great beaches is a huge advantage. These local spots offer a balance between vibrant atmosphere and tranquil relaxation—something for everyone.
