Can Non-EU Citizens Still Get Residency in Spain?

,

Welcome back to another Two Minute Tuesday with Keith and Sophia from Target Property Spain!

This week, we’re tackling a question we hear more and more often:
Can people from outside the EU — such as the UK, the US, or Canada — still get residency in Spain?

The good news is: yes, they can!

While Spain has recently phased out the Golden Visa, there are still very viable residency options available for non-EU citizens looking to move to the Costa del Sol or elsewhere in Spain. The two most popular routes at the moment are:

  • 💻 The Digital Nomad Visa – Perfect for remote workers and freelancers. This visa allows you to live in Spain while working for companies or clients abroad.
  • 🏡 The Non-Lucrative Visa – Ideal for retirees or those who don’t need to work in Spain. It requires proof of sufficient income to support yourself while living here.

We’re currently assisting many clients, especially from Canada, the UK, and the US, in navigating these visa processes alongside their property search.

If you’re considering a move to the Costa del Sol and want help with both the real estate side and residency paperwork, we’d be happy to help or connect you with local experts who can guide you through the legal steps.
